Lexington Park Launches New Phase

Chicago Tribune

Chicago-based Lexington Homes has begun construction on a second town home phase at Lexington Park in Des Plaines.

Three buildings in the new 53-unit phase are under construction with deliveries expected in July and August.

Lexington Park, a development of 120 town homes at Western and Harding avenues, is within walking distance of downtown Des Plaines and a Metra station.

The community offers three floor plans from 1,605 to 1,913 square feet. Base-priced from $239,990 to $264,990, the three-story homes come standard with two or three bedrooms, 21/2 baths and attached two-car garages. Options allow for additional powder rooms.

"The community is already over 50 percent sold, and because of the great success we've had, we were able to move forward with our second phase," said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes.

The new phase has the same floor plans originally offered at the community: Bristol, Warrington and Coventry, all of which are featured in decorated models.

The Bristol: Priced from $239,990, the 1,605-square-foot Bristol includes two bedrooms and 21/2 baths. The main level has a combination living/dining room, kitchen with breakfast nook, powder room and balcony. Upstairs includes dual master suites, a laundry closet and two linen closets. The main master suite has a walk-in closet and master bath with double vanities. The secondary master suite has two closets and a full bath with a window.

The Warrington: This 1,758-square-foot home includes two bedrooms, 21/2 baths and the builder's signature touches, such as arched entryways, a kitchen pass-through with breakfast bar and a den off the kitchen. The option for a third bedroom is available. The home is base-priced from $254,990.

The Coventry: Priced from $264,990, the 1,913-square-foot Coventry includes three bedrooms and 21/2 baths.

"This home showcases some of Lexington Homes' signature architectural touches, such as rounded archways and a dining-room cutout that provides extra space for a buffet," Benach said. "Also, the kitchen resembles that of a single-family home, with an island and tons of storage space like a double-door closet pantry and extra 42-inch-base cabinets along one wall."

The plan also features a flexible lower-level space that would be ideal for a home theater, Benach said. The upper level includes a master suite that comes standard with a large walk-in closet and vaulted ceiling, as well as two secondary bedrooms and a full hall bath.

All homes at Lexington Park include brushed nickel lighting fixtures; oversize balconies; 42-inch maple cabinets and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; and a dual-bowl raised-height vanity.

The sales center, at 1232 Harding Ave., is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, call 847-299-0500 or visit lexingtonchicago.com.
