Lexington Homes Wins Three Key Awards for Architectural Design

Chicago Tribune

Chicago-based Lexington Homes (www.lexingtonchicago.com) recently earned three Key Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) for outstanding architectural design at Lexington Park in Des Plaines and Lexington Square in Bridgeport. Award-winning features are highlighted in a selection of townhomes currently available for immediate delivery at both communities.

Models featuring the Bristol and Warrington floor plans at Lexington Park as well as the Grant floor plan at Lexington Square earned Gold Key Awards for architectural design.

Lexington Park is located within walking distance of downtown Des Plaines and the Des Plaines Metra Station, at 1232 Harding Ave. near Western Avenue. The community has three floor plans ranging from 1,605 to 1,913 square feet. Base-priced from $239,990 to $264,990, the three-story homes come standard with two and three bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages.

Lexington Homes is currently offering a number of incentives to homebuyers at Lexington Park, such as paying the mortgage for up to a year, half off the cost of all upgrades, or buying down the mortgage rates to greatly reduce the monthly payment.

Lexington Square is located at 3630 S. Sangamon St., eight blocks west of U.S. Cellular Field. The community offers two floor plans ranging from 2,216 to 2,507 square feet. Base-priced from the $390,000s, the three-story homes come standard with three bedrooms, 2½ baths, rooftop decks (with complete views of the Chicago skyline) and attached two-car garages. Additional bedrooms and baths are available.

“It’s such an honor to have our home designs singled out for these awards,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “These models showcase all the modern finishes and features of our homes. Plus, they also reflect changes and enhancements we made to the floor plans from buyer feedback, such as more open kitchens and living areas and increased storage space.”

Also to credit for the Awards, says Benach, is the flexibility of the plans. “Buyers have the option to add a powder room to the lower-level family room of each of these plans, which makes it an ideal entertainment room or home office. Plus, the Warrington has a great main level den, which is right off the kitchen. It can be used as a home office or kid’s playroom in a convenient location near the kitchen hub. So depending upon their lifestyle and needs, buyers can tailor the homes to function best for them.”

One of the homes available for immediate delivery at Lexington Park is the 1,605-square-foot Bristol. Discounted to $239,990, the home includes two bedrooms and 2½ baths. “This home is a phenomenal deal for entry-level buyers looking for a stylish new home at a great value,” said Benach. “It’s also near a great park and has pond views.”

Upstairs, the Bristol features dual master suites, a laundry closet and two linen closets. The main master suite includes a walk-in closet and master bath with “his” and “hers” vanities. The secondary master suite includes two closets and a full bath with a window.
Upgraded features include oak staircase railings; volume ceilings in both bedrooms; upgraded hardwood flooring throughout the main level; and granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.
