Townhomes offer dual master suites in Wheeling, Des Plaines and Bridgeport

Lexington Homes is making it twice as nice to live in its two townhome developments, Willow Place in Wheeling and Lexington Park in Des Plaines. Based on buyer feedback, the Chicago-based builder is offering floor plans with dual master suites at both communities.

Willow Place, a community of 58 townhomes, offers two floor plans measuring 1,858 to 2,157 square feet. Base-priced from $329,990 to $369,990, the three-story homes come standard with three bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages. Lexington Park, a community of 120 townhomes, offers three floor plans ranging from 1,605 to 1,913 square feet. Base-priced from $324,990 to $379,990, the three-story homes come standard with two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages. Both communities have a wide selection of homes available for immediate delivery.

“Our buyers are smart – they’re planners. They want a home they can grow into or that will meet a lifestyle change,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “And for many of them that means being able to accommodate future roommates or live-in relatives, so we wanted to offer plans to meet their needs.”

For buyers interested in a home with dual master suites at Willow Place, Lexington Homes offers the option in the Chestnut floor plan. Nearly identical in size, both master suites include walk-in closets and combination tub/showers in their respective baths. The primary master suite features a vaulted ceiling and a bath with a dual-bowl vanity. The 1,858-square-foot home is base-priced from $329,990.

“The Chestnut dual master suite option creates two expansive bedrooms with private baths and lots of closet space, perfect for roommates who want large, equally-sized private living areas,” said Benach. “In fact, two brothers purchased the Chestnut design with dual master suites for this very reason.”

Downstairs, the Chestnut’s main living level includes an open dining/living room and a kitchen with separate breakfast area. An oversized balcony is located off the kitchen. The lower level features a family room and storage room.

“In addition to all the privacy provided by dual master suites, roommates or family members living together can also spread out throughout the tri-level home for some alone time,” Benach added. “If one person needs to study in the kitchen, someone else can watch television in the family room without disturbing them.”

At Lexington Park, buyers can choose between two floor plans that come standard with dual master suites, the Warrington and the Bristol.

The Warrington measures 1,758 square feet and includes two bedrooms and 2½ baths. It is base-priced from $348,490.

In the Warrington, the master suites are located on opposite sides of the home. The larger master suite includes a vaulted ceiling, built-in window seat, his-and-hers closets, as well as a bath with a dual-bowl vanity, walk-in shower and linen closet. The second master suite has a walk-in closet and a full bath.

“Many downsizers have been drawn to this design because they like that the master suite is larger than the guest suite – they want that extra space,” noted Benach. “Yet they enjoy knowing they can host overnight guests in style with plenty of privacy and space for a comfortable visit.”

The home’s main living level includes a dining/living room, kitchen with breakfast area and a den. A family room is located on the lower level.

Also offering dual master suites is the 1,605-square-foot Bristol priced from $324,990. A two-bedroom, 2½-bath home, the Bristol’s dual master suites are similar in layout to the Chestnut design at Willow Place.

Homes at both communities include brushed nickel lighting fixtures; oversized private balconies; 42-inch maple cabinets and GE stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; and a dual-bowl raised-height vanity with a cultured marble top in the master bath. A variety of options and upgrades like alternate bedroom configurations and additional baths also are available. Buyers who purchase direct-delivery homes can enjoy a range of designer upgrades, such as fireplaces, hardwood floors and granite countertops.

For buyers interested in finding a townhome in the city with dual master suites, Lexington Homes will introduce Lexington Square in Bridgeport on Chicago’s southwest side in early 2009. Located at W. 36th and S. Sangamon streets, the community will offer the option of dual master suites in its Grant floor plan.
