Others did it to time conception so births wouldn\u2019t interfere with harvest work. Brides in the 15th century chose to marry in June because it coincided with their \u201cannual bath\u201d yes, really-ensuring a relatively sweet smelling honeymoon. Centuries later, June has remained the most popular month to wed. In MGM\u2019s 1954 Academy Award winning musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers the song \u201cJune Bride\u201d touts; \u201cOh, they say when you marry in June, you\u2019re a bride all your life, and the bridegroom who marries in June gets a sweetheart for a wife\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Well what ever the reason there is definitely love in the air. Two of our homeowners will now be sharing the same wedding anniversary June 18, 2011. Help me in congratulating Fritz and Ashley and Preston and Jennifer who will both be wed this Saturday. I definitely agree with the June wedding date, I just celebrated my 27th wedding anniversary this month as well.
