The northwest suburban area surrounding Wheeling and our Willow Place townhomes is having some cool things happening this summer!  All with in a short drive's distance we have listed off a few of our must-attend events for this summer.

Always a fantastic summer hangout, the Wheeling Outdoor Aquatic Center is the place to be this summer to catch rays and have an all around swimtastic time!  Complete with zero depth entry main pool, lap lanes, drop slides, tube/body slides, splash pool, water playground, sand volleyball, grassy tanning area, diving area, cafe and more, the Aquatic Center is the hottest spot to cool off in Wheeling when the weather warms up in a couple months.  327 W. Neighboring town Buffalo Grove has a great summer series featuring their Symphonic Band Concerts.  First up is their Summer Concert happening on Tuesday, June 15, 7pm at Willow Stream Park in Buffalo Grove.  Admission is free.  Then, of course, the annual 4th of July concert celebration returning for their 8th year to the event.  The Independence Day concert is held at Rotary Village Green.  Be sure to get their early to claim a seat for the music and the fireworks!

Our neighbors in Buffalo Grove also will be holding a fantastic Farmer's Market this summer starting on June 27th!  Farmers and other local food vendors will be heading to Buffalo Grove, and it would be great of you to welcome them by joining the fun on Sunday mornings beginning June 27. The location is in the parking lot in front of the Spray ‘N Play Park at 951 McHenry Rd. They are accepting applications for farmers and other vendors. Local nonprofit groups may sign up to participate. Sponsorship opportunities exist for businesses. Go to www.vbg.org/market

Our other neighbors in the Village of Deerfield have a slew of different bike route that you can head out on for a family ride or just to meditate and exercise out in nature on your own.  With a total of seven different paths to choose from, your rides will never get boring and will definitely help to keep you toned and moving this summer!  See the map here for more information on Deerfield's outdoor bike trails.
